Autumn Porridge: A Nutritious Breakfast to Beat the Cold.
Introduction:
The arrival of autumn changes our eating habits, too. Starting with breakfast, we're more inclined to prefer warm, nutritious dishes, which give us the energy we need to face the cold temperatures. Porridge, of English origin, is a recipe that perfectly fulfills these needs.
Ingredients
For one portion
- 40g of oat flakes
- 40ml of water
- 50ml of milk or vegetable drink
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- To garnish: dark chocolate, fresh and dried fruit, Greek yogurt
Preparation:
- Pour the oat flakes into a saucepan and add the water, milk, a pinch of salt and honey.
- Cook over low heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring with a spoon. Stop as soon as the mixture reaches a soft, non-sticky consistency.
- Pour into a bowl and garnish with a spoonful of Greek yogurt, chocolate shavings, and dried and fresh fruit to taste. Enjoy!
