
The Genoese
Genovese is a traditional Neapolitan dish, rich in flavor and aroma. Thanks to Pietrella cookware, you can create a Genovese with a rich, irresistible taste.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg of white onions
- 800g beef (cut into pieces)
- 200g smoked bacon
- 100g of grated cheese
- 1 liter of vegetable broth
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- Finely slice the onions and dice the bacon.
- In a Pietrella saucepan, heat some olive oil and add the pancetta. Sauté until crispy.
- Add the onions and sauté over low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the beef and sauté for a few minutes until golden brown on all sides.
- Pour in the hot vegetable stock, cover with a lid, and cook over low heat for at least 2 hours, until the meat is tender and the onions have turned into a thick, creamy sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with grated cheese before serving.
Cooking:
